Food we make at home

I cook largely from scratch, often using what we have grown, preserved or already have in the cupboard. You will find everyday family food here alongside the experiments, favourites and recipes that earn their way into our regular rotation.

Around our table

Expect practical recipes, family-sized portions, homemade staples, seasonal ingredients and notes about what actually worked for us.

Made for real family life

I am not interested in making everyday food unnecessarily complicated. I want recipes that taste good, use recognisable ingredients and work in an ordinary family kitchen.

Sometimes that means using something freshly picked from the garden. Sometimes it means working out what on earth to make from what is already in the fridge.
