Painting the Van – Iveco Daily Van Conversion Week 6
Painting the van was not exactly on our priority list. However, as the weather has been so great (for the UK anyway) and is likely to turn soon we thought it would be best to bump this up the list.
Prepping the van
Prepping the van took so long. We needed to sand the paint work so the new paint would adhere to the van. Painting the van was not just for the aesthetics it is also to help prolong the life and condition. The paint we used was Rust-Oleum CombiColor Original – in Northern Light Grey.
Before painting the van the sanding process was done with a course sandpaper. I am sure ours was about a 400 grit with 320 after the first couple of coats of paint
As you will see from the video the painting did not go according to plan. You’ll have to join in Week 7 to see what we did about it!
After a few people from our Facebook Page asked about the products we used I created an easy to shop Van Build List on our Amazon Shop we may get a small commission when you click on our links at no additional cost to you and as always appreciate your support.
Join us in Week 7 where we complete the van painting after a lot of trial and error with varying techniques! You can also see how our Iveco Daily van Conversion has been progressing.
