Queen’s Jubilee Celebration Visiting Family
As the Queen’s celebrations of 70 years on the Throne took place all around the world we visited family to celebrate with them. The girls had the best time playing traditional outdoor games and having a blast.
13 Children and 13 adults so 26 of us altogether could only mean 1 thing – fun! We laughed so much our sides hurt, the usual family antics when on as you can see from us trying to take a nice family photo and the Ford brothers being… Well the Ford brothers 🙄
Garden Games
It was amazing watching the girls (and participating in) What’s the time Mr Wolf, Rounders, Catch and so many more games.
When the Children where in Bed 😱
It wasn’t just all the children that had fun, oh no…. When the kid’s went to bed out came testing various different rums, playing Ring of Fire which had us all in stitches and followed by Amiee suggesting the Taco Challenge that she saw on TicTok. It was the best fun we have had in ages and I think we all ended up crying with laughter
Food, Food and more Food
Then there was the food, so much food from lunch to BBQ to proper afternoon tea over the two days even Alina was full (and that is saying something!). I love family get togethers like this, it fills my soul. There was recipe swapping, which reminds me watch out for our Brownie share coming soon! Karen shared a Gluten Free non dairy absolutely amazing brownie recipe that was just so amazing you would have thought it was laden with everything we as family cannot eat! Yep, I am gluten intolerant, Alina is lactose intolerant and we also believe that Nevaeh and Soraya have a lactose intolerance to albeit slightly different to Alina.
So, we are a joy to cater for, as you can well imagine 😂.
Emotional Goodbye
It was an emotional goodbye and too much for Grace. Although the girls had worn themselves out so much that two of them promptly fell asleep.
I really wish we’d have had some neck pillows as I think they would have been much more comfortable, the girls used to have some super cute ones but over time they were no longer fit for purpose so I think it is about time we got some more. Although I always got the girls to wear them at the front, not the back so they were not sat too far forward in their chair.
