Homeschooling Trial Day 3

Grace collected some knitting needles today that she brought via Facebook Market place.  We joined Craftsy so the girls could pursue some of their more creative interests.  Nevaeh loves drawing and draws constantly, pretty much everyday for probably about 2-3 hours! Grace is interested in learning how to knit and also how to sew so Craftsy is the perfect resource for them.  It has great easy to follow videos, downloadable instructions and is already making me wish I had more time to get creative!

Rain, Rain, You Can Stay…

I am loving the flexibility of homeschooling and how we can just switch things around as needed.  It was raining today so that gave the girls the perfect opportunity to start colouring their canvases that we brought from The Range the other day.

It also meant we could have an indoor picnic which the girls thought was great fun, we just laid the picnic rug out in the front room instead!

Meditation Time Has Become Serious Business!

Another favourite introduction of mine is meditation and yoga time courtesy of Cosmic Yoga.  Soraya and Alina have done this with me the most over the years.  Soraya in particular loves it and a technique that I taught her many years ago from Kundalini Yoga is Sa, Ta, Na, Ma which she still uses frequently to calm herself down.

However, our meditation sessions seems to have become very serious business in the get comfortable arena!  You can see the evidence on our Youtube video
